Ground Penetrating Radar [GPR]

November 28th, 2017   Author: Doug Thaler

GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) uses radar to image through concrete and locate buried obstructions in concrete, soil, gravel and other substances beneath the ground. Used both to determine if the ground is stable enough to support loads as well as to locate utilities, post tension tendons and pipes prior to drilling or construction. See below

In addition, IPC has updated 50 year old bridge inspections by utilizing gpr to replace the manual bridge deck and bridge approachway inspections conducted today.

THE GPR EXPERTS

The most sophisticated GPR equipment available to date. IPC’s ground penetrating radar and interpretation software goes well beyond conventional gpr equipment to assess our infrastructure.

IPC performs condition assessments for the department of transportation to provide them quantitative data that allows them to create an action plan to budget their maintenance and repairs.

IPC can map pipelines and underground utilities as well as find voids and underground anomaly’s. Prior to drilling or construction IPC can map rebar and underground obstructions prior to building.
